Important Update for Email Subscribers

September 30, 2026 by Scooter in the Sticks 2 Comments

Hi everyone,

I’m writing to let you know that I’ve recently moved my email notifications away from Mailchimp and directly over to WordPress Jetpack.

Since I run this blog purely as a hobby, I wanted to simplify things and make sure the setup stays clean and hassle-free.

What this means for you:

If you want to keep receiving my latest posts straight to your inbox, I want to make sure you’re on the new list! If the notifications show “Jetpack” at the bottom you’re all set. If it says “Mailchimp” you’ll need to resubscribe. If you haven’t received a confirmation or notification recently, please take a moment to re-subscribe using the signup box.

Thank you so much for reading, following along, and supporting Scooter in the Sticks over the years. I’ll see you in the next post!

Best,

Steve Williams

Hi Steve! My post says WordPress at the bottom, so can I assume I’m already on the new list? And by the way, my mantra/motto the last few days has been “Don’t let the old man in!” Great advice!

I don’t see you on the email list but perhaps you are subscribed via WordPress instead? Another post will appear every Friday and Monday. If you don’t see them then you should resubscribe with your email.

I’m working to keep the old man at bay. There are a lot of rides I still want to make.
