Woo Hoo!!! It’s time for another Moto Hang!
It’s Exciting, Surprising and Delightful
Well, not everyone may be as animated as my friend Paul Ruby, there’s still a thrill attending the Moto Hang. This week it’s moving to Kissell Motorsports in State College, Pennsylvania.
Shiny Objects and More
Here’s the note Moto Hang founder Ken Hull sent out announcing the next “hang”.
As you know Moto Hang 2016 will be changing venues every third Wednesday of the month. Originally I was thinking of member homes only and not commercial locations. But when Craig Kissell of Kissell Motorsports graciously offered to host us, I couldn’t say no! How fun will this be!!! Moto Hang at an awesome moto shop! Just think, you can come with your old tried moto and leave with a brand new one! Haha, just kidding. Or am I? :^) Either way, Craig and Josh have very kindly stepped forward and offered their space. How cool!
This Kissell sponsored Moto Hang will take place Wednesday May 18th starting at 6pm. And get this, Craig offered to fully fund the food and drinks!!! We will still have the donation jar available so we can keep funding future Hangs but a big thanks to Craig for this generous offer!
Let’s make this Moto Hang one of the biggest! Let’s fill the Kissell lot with bikes, people, laughs, and loitering (like we do best)! :^D
See you at Kissell Motorsport!
Ride On!
Ken
Craig Kissell, Owner of Kissell Motorsports
Craig will be happy to see Moto Hangers come out tomorrow. I always enjoy doing a little dreaming in the showroom. Should be even better with food! While not exactly balmy, the weather tomorrow evening should be dry and cool. Perfect for the adventuring Moto Hangers.
Below is the address, phone and map — everything you’ll need to get there.

Gee Whiz! Free food and a chance to look at all the new and wheeled devices?
At least Steve you can ride to Kissell on your Vespa, unlike last time around…
Keep thinking taking Junior on a lead to one of the Moto-Hangs would be most interesting; but then Junior may not be a people dog, how about Lily?
Just crazy thoughts on my part…
But then crazy is that time of year eh?
Steve Williams says
I plan to ride to the Moto Hang tonight. It’s raining now but I wet ride to work in a few minutes won’t be so bad. And it’s suppose to clear up later this morning.
Junior has been to a couple Moto Hangs — I abandoned the Vespa in order to take him for a walk. Belgian Sheepdogs can be a bit standoffish with strangers. They’re not mean or anything but their sheepdog ways keep them vigilant and wary. Once I have him say “hello” which for him means, “this fellow is ok” he’s a leaning, loving pup. But he’ll never run up to someone he doesn’t know wagging his tail and all excited. Lily seems completely uninterested with other people. She’s always looking for dogs, squirrels, groundhogs and tennis balls. People? What a bore…
Crazy time for me is in the late fall. I’m good now!
Ry Austin says
Of course Kissell offered to fully fund the food and drinks… Alcohol lowers inhibitions. 😉
Warn your fellow Moto Hangers, Steve: LEAVE YOUR WALLETS HOME, PEOPLE!
Really, I’m sure that Mr. Kissell is a great guy with pure intentions. I look forward to any tales and photos you might collect to share.
Steve Williams says
Hah. Maybe he’ll sell a few BMW R1200 GS Adventures tonight! Or I’ll have a complete meltdown and buy a Triumph Street Twin.
I plan to take my little camera along and get some pictures. We’ll see what happens.
RichardM says
That’s a pretty cool first photo. How many times did you have him jump or did you use burst mode on the iPhone?
We’ll have to see what you come home with…
Steve Williams says
I don’t remember how many times Paul jumped but probably not more than twice. With the point and shoot Canon G15 I never use the burst mode. Just anticipate the movement. I rely on luck!
I’ll post some moto hang pix over the weekend. Takes time to go through all the pix.
Mike says
Wonderful top of page photo…Wow indeed!
Steve Williams says
Thanks Mike. Paul deserves the credit. He pushes me to make those “action” pictures.

Fond memories of Kissel’s. Left with a brand new injector that hasn’t missed a beat yet.
David Masse says
Neat… beat… sigh
Steve Williams says
I fixed if for you. Dom Chang has me working to fix typos.
Steve Williams says
I remember that day David. Seems like it just happened. Where did the time go???
Conchscooter says
Nice to have a shop like that nearby. Modern facilities with old fashioned love of riding.
Steve Williams says
Definitely — I’m fortunate to have them so close. And they do support riding. Nothing like the long rides you had to make to get someone to look at your GTS.
