I’ve been tackling a goal I set for myself to shoot two rolls of film every week. And then process, contact, and make three gelatin silver prints. Work prints. Every week, rain or shine, no excuses. And so far I have been pretty successful. And to add another motivational stick I am going to begin posting those prints here every Sunday night/Monday morning.
I’ve undertaken this work because I have been searching for my next creative direction. I have never planned out my projects. They just appear, find me in some mystical fashion. And they only appear when I’m working, while I’m pressing the shutter in response to something that interests me personally. And when I am engaged like that something will happen. It always does if I am patient.

Hi Steve!
Nice photos, specially the Black and white. I got to your blog via modern vespa and I started to read it and I like it. I have a GT 200 and I’m always looking for a road to ride it. Lately I decided to get back to B&W photography. I learned a little bit at the university when I was graduating. I’m an architect. So I rode last month on a weekend here in Southern CA through small roads getting to really interesting places. I love your 3 prints project, and without seeing yours before I started my B&W project. I shot a roll till now, (not so ambitious as 2 rolls a week) and I need to set up the dark room still. I’m on the second roll and the first one I sent to be developed, so at least I could see how rust I was on B&W.
I’ll try to set up a blog and then I send you the link so you can see my pics.
regards,
Eduardo Borba

Eduardo: Even though I stopped posting the results of my 3 Prints Projects my friend Gordon and I have continued and are now thinking of putting a show together.
Some weeks the work goes easily and others I have to push myself pretty hard. The darkroom remains a sort of love/hate thing. Just depends on my mood. Usually once I am in there working it turns into a pleasant experience.
Let me know when you get your site going!

Hi Steve, I caught your posts on the Leica forum. Great idea. Well done for doing this and sharing it with us all here ! Have you mentioned anywhere about your actual darkroom? its setup etc?
