Autumn Rides

October 3, 2006 by Scooter in the Sticks 3 Comments

This is my favorite time of year. The landscape transforms almost overnight into a paradise of color, fragrance and light. The other morning I was out early with my dog walking near Bear Meadows, a lovely bog area. Mist and rain softened the emerging reds, yellows and oranges.

This morning I found myself traveling along a gravel road through long stretches of drying corn. Autumn is everywhere and I hope to see it on foot and by scooter as much as possible. I’ll share pictures as I get them but get out there yourself and see things first hand. For those of you who live in places that don’t have such dramatic seasonal changes stay tuned.

Wonderful photos, as usual. I had hoped to get out and do some of that myself this weekend. But it appears that I will be working at least Saturday. Why does Work always have to get in the way of Life?

    Ride well,

The photo of Bear Meadows is really great. Jason and I haven’t been riding out there lately as he hurt his knee – and my lungs don’t seem to enjoy the cold air that much. We are going to have to make a trip out though soon to see the leaves changing from the different views. 🙂

Gary: Well, work is part of life, it’s just the part we don’t always want to embrace the way we do the things we are more passionate about. Wait a minute…. Why DOES Work always have to get in the way of Life???

Hannah: Even if you drive out there and take a short walk you should not miss the amazing color.
