I’m behind schedule — shooting, printing and posting. Last week I shifted gears and borrow a 35mm Panorama Adapter for my Mamiya 7 and began shooting these long horizontal negatives. There is something cinematic about the format that appeals to me. Or maybe I just needed a break. There hasn’t been time to print or even shoot another roll of film. My interest hasn’t waned but projects coming due at work and the garden calling at home will probably interfere with the project for a couple weeks.
Maybe. Who knows what tomorrow brings. I do know that I have to buy more film.

Dear Steve:
When a photographer says, “I need to get more film,” it reminds me of Monet saying, “I have got to get more paint.”
When I first saw the contact sheets o your blog tonight, I thought, “Wow! He got a shot of a bear cub! Then I realized it was your dog.”
I need new glasses.
Fondest regards,
Jack

It seems to me that in winter there is little to get in the way of photographing except the weather. However, in the spring, there seems everything to distract us from the camera EXCEPT the weather. Why you think that is?

Steve:
I have that panorama adaptor for my M7 but the frame lines in the viewer is just awful, so I don’t use it much. Perhaps the M7II is different. I prefer to use my Horizon 202 which is also 24×58 . There is just something magical about that format
And Jack is right, your dog does look like a bear cub.

Steve,
Would you happen to have a portfolio of your work, and would you be wanting to put any of them up for sale?

Hey there! I was pointed towards your blog by a friend. I too drive a scooter (though mine is only considered such here in Korea, as it’s 150ccs) in a rural area and in all conditions and am a photographer. Your blog is fascinating and your photography is beautiful. I’d love to add your blog to my blogroll if that’s okay. I actually just wrote a post about my bike and experiences riding in the country yesterday, which you can see here: http://www.driftingfocus.com/blogs/?p=4059
