In a few weeks a documentary film described by the Los Angeles Times as “…an unabashed love letter to all things motorcycle…” will be coming to the State Theater in State College, Pennsylvania.
WHY WE RIDE – The Official Theatrical Trailer from WHY WE RIDE FILM on Vimeo.
Why We Ride will be screened on March 30, 2014 at 3pm. The showing has been confirmed and tickets are available online for $8.00 each. For riders in central Pennsylvania and those who wonder about riding this is something you’ll want to see.
My scooter riding daughter and I have our tickets! Wonder how many will be riding to the show?
I noticed that it’s also available for download. Maybe I’ll go that route as it probably will not be in a local theatre.
It was a good documentary. We saw it at a small independent cinema here in Corvallis, and on a Friday matinee were the only two people to attend.
I’ve heard mixed reviews from the locals, but we enjoyed it. Hopefully you will enjoy it as well.
I’ve not seen the movie but the general consensus that I’m hearing is “if your ride, it’s a good movie.” If your not a rider then it’s a bit slow in parts.
RichardM: I prefer watching movies at home where I can control the pace and food. I’m going to attend the showing as a sign of support for the local riding community.
Trobairitz: Only two people in the theater?! That has to be discouraging for the theater and the filmmakers…
Robert Wilson: As long as there’s not too much racing I should like it just fine. I’ll let you know what I think about the film. Who knows, maybe I’m emerge with a fire for a Harley!
I wanted to see this when it played at the local cinema here in January, but I was out of town at the time darnit. However, now that you bring it up, I’m thinking of heading to PA to catch this screening! Perhaps I’ll say hi?
