I shot a lot of pictures at the last Piston and Pints event in Boalsburg, Pennsylvania but have been too busy (or maybe lazy) to process them and post. But I did try out a video with a Nikon D5100 camera — just a walk through the event to have a look at what’s going on. While this is just a slice of what went on by the end of the evening 26 motorcycles made an appearance — quite a feat for Ken Hull’s little get togethers.
The next event will be on October 16 from 5 to 7pm and there will be a season ending cookout on October 21st.
I’ll get busy with those other pictures…
I am very happy with my D5100. It replaced a well worn D70. My only complaint is that you can’t over ride the iris or auto focus when shooting video.
Mark Meyers: amazing little tools. Remember when quality of that level would have cost big bucks.
The 5100 will autofocus during shooting if you press the shutter button. Not elegant but it will bring things back into focus.
Lovely video, thanks very much. The BMW’s are beautiful, I was waiting to get a glimpse of the Vespa
That looks like fun. I just got a D5100 too and love it 🙂
Look forward to the pics!
Looby UK: Lots of pretty machines there. I should have highlighted the Vespa more!
Dirty Motorcycle Adventures: The D5100 is an amazing little camera. The only bad thing about all these modern cameras is that I no longer have excuses for my pictures being bad.
You sure had fun taking this video and watching it is even better. Nice work and thanks for sharing on your blog.
