Roland, I have to agree with you. BLOG is sort of an ugly word. I tend to use it because I feel self-conscious calling the things I write essays. That’s a word I have always associated with writers better than me.

Thank you for your kind words though. Perhaps they’ll nudge me along and away from the term “BLOG.”

Thank you for this wonderful blog Steve and congratulations (and good luck!) with your current art exhibit. I am planning on driving a 300c Vespa from the Los Angeles (San Gabriel Valley) area to the Boston area in late summer/early autumn 2019. I will turn 65 next July and this scooter adventure will be a part of my move out of California and transition from full time to part time work. I am just beginning the research and planning but I know the scooter I want and where to purchase it. I’ll be reading all pertinent information on your blog over the next few months. were did you get your maps from to decide your routes. I cant seem to find anything for county rd. maps. Am planning a scooter road trip from Ohio to Oregon this summer. would like to take county rd. and old 2nd. state rt. Am riding a 150cc. and camping along the way.. Thank you . David..

Whenever i get time i always check your blog ..
love your photography…
this is the second time i’m writing something here..
few months ago i bought a scooter..

just wanted to share this…
that being a girl i have always wanted to ride by my own ..
but there are few stupid people who always underestimates a girls riding power..
its like”girls can/should never ride”
right now m dealing with such few people..
it really hurts and very much dissappointing
