What you described sounds like the best kind of riding experience. And in the Adirondacks to boot! It’s nice to have relaxed rides with friends. I don’t think it would have been the same experience though if there were 25 people on that ride. We’re all different though in our desires and choices. What’s important is we know what we want to do.

Thanks for sharing your experiences. I hope to someday ride in the Adirondacks. So far it has all been by car.

Thanks for taking the time to comment Brian. I appreciate it. Paul is active on Facebook but I’ve never been engaged much there. I will open it and see all kinds of messages and requests and just close it.

Glad I could provide a spark of inspiration. And it is amazing the kind of friendships that can develop in this virtual world!

When I did the trip to Americade this past May I had a surprise coming. My friends, who usually do demo rides all day, were more interested in riding. After a brief pass through the expo and demo area we were off. Three days of riding in the Adirondacks ensued. The difference for me is enjoying the company of my friends and brother. We sampled small, local eateries. Never once got on an Interstate. Had one break down that was fixed by one of us and averaged one hundred miles every day. I’m still basking in the memory. The number of people I ride with doesn’t count. Just the good time.

Hi Steve. We sure have a long history together. You’ve seen me through half a dozen wives and girlfriends. I guess photography is the glue because for some reason I haven’t ever (50 years?) given it up. I did lose my Pittsburgh photo friends that was a pretty dynamic period in my life. Great tribute to friendship and riding, Steve. Paul is a FB friend and it seems like I’ve been reading this blog for a couple decades. Although I’ve never personally met either of you I feel like you are both old friends. Makes me wish I lived closer and could hang out with you two. Thanks again for sharing and the inspiration.
