Feeling small is kind of a secret superpower. It works if I can remain humble enough to be so open.

There are still a lot of roads we’ve not explored. The only limitation is time rather than having run out of new places to ride.

I am definitely familiar with the seemingly sudden appearance of a motorcycle too tall and heavy. That was the case with my ’92 BMW K75C. I regret parting with it but I knew the time had come. Next time we ride to breakfast let’s go to the Family Chill & Grill and then on to Tyrone to visit the two big dealerships there. Maybe something will catch your eye.

Geezerism is definitely waiting for me. All I have to do is get tired, cranky, and start complaining more than desiring to see the world.

I hope at 77 I am following your lead. And that I am still content with the W650 and Himalayan. I look at new machines frequently but nothing I see seems to be better than what I have as riding companions.

Time to get on a bike and search for that mythic cup of coffee. Or for me a cup of tea.

I am certainly blessed with many options for roads and eating establishments. And the further I am willing to ride, the more they pile up.

The Dunlop Trailmax Mission tires are mostly likely what I’ll get. Finding tires is tough right now but the Dunlops are readily available. I was seriously considering the Heidenau 60 Scout tires but they’ve been impossible to find. I’ll check again at the end of the summer when I switch tires.

More and more I think about something smaller and lighter like your Himalayan. Curiosty and lots of riding help, but I no longer have the strength and stamina for the tall and heavy GS. Maybe our next breakfast ride should include a few motorcycle stealerships.
