Yes, I seem to function better with real deadlines. I suspect you’re correct regarding my employment history — I was always adhering to an organizational deadline and didn’t often set my own agenda as I do now. An agenda of sloth it seems.

The exhibit is all Paul’s fault. Or at least that’s the theory bouncing in my head. But I appreciate the prodding. It will change how I do things. Already I’ve gone through all my Scooter in the Sticks RAW files, consolidated them from eight external drives onto one master drive and have that backed up to an external drive. And shortly that will be backed up to a second drive to be stored off site.

Not sure what crossing the border is like. Can’t imagine it’s a whole lot different generally. I can’t do it. Need to get my passport renewed. Can’t even get on an airplane now with my PA license for domestic flights. Pennsylvania’s ID does not meet the federal Real ID requirement. So you need a passport to board a plane. Can’t imagine how many people show up at the gate to learn that lesson.

Don’t worry about making the long trip to see the show. I’ll create a virtual experience for those readers harkening from afar.

I’ve still been riding though must confess a terrible choice yesterday. Left the scooter in the garage while the driveway was being sealcoated. So now it’s trapped their until Thursday afternoon. Oh well, as Kim would say, “Work on your show stupid.” Or something like that in a loving tone.

The photography exhibit will not doubt be equally vexing, for time restraints and ensuring everything is “just right.” Hanging the framed images can also be trying, Paul Ruby has experience there. No doubt this exhibit is partly Paul’s doing?

My concern if I was able to attend would be crossing the international border into a country whose politics are less than friendly to foreign powers these days. Ironically this past weekend numerous license plates were seen locally; as the head office for IKEA is within walking distance from my residence. License plates from New York State, Pennsylvania, Ohio as well as elsewhere. Given the favourable exchange on the US greenback to the Canadian Loonie, understandable.

I shall circle the exhibition dates however make no promises.

In the interim continue riding, preparation will be increasingly hectic the closer to the actual opening.

Incidentally your motorcycle neighbour’s “Tuesday evening” get together should be soon on the agenda; post some notes there of your upcoming exhibit?

Outside this June 4 morning it is a cool 60 degrees F, and bright…time for a ride maybe?

Thanks Sonja. Success…. not exactly sure what that would be. I suppose if people see the exhibit and leave feeling a little different about riding and how they view the world — that would be success. Though I have to admit, at this point, just getting the images ready to hang on the wall would be success!
