It may be the only place in Pennsylvania that looks like that. I can’t recall another right now.

3:17am. Unusual now. When I was younger, much younger, college age, I was still out in the world at that hour. No wonder my grades suffered…

Junior is a fine subject. He reflects a lot of what I feel about things. The “desert” photo is one of those pictures that lie and tell the truth at the same time. Like most pictures. A lot of context missing from the photo itself. But the place is there. I stop almost every time I pass it and make a photograph.

Creative processes I’ve come to accept are different for everyone. Learning to accept mine, however broken, has taken a long time.

Riding up to see the show would be a big trip. Maybe you should find a venue for me to show the work down your way!

You know better than most what happens to those fields Mike. And there is a lot of liquid manure in that soil. It’s intense agriculture for sure. Usually corn is growing here. Not sure what they are doing this year.

I can’t bear to ride in that kind of heat. I’ve done it but geez it’s far less fun than sub-freezing temperatures.

Working on the show. Will post some updates as I move along. It’s an interesting process for me.

Busy, lazy, tired, distracted. Hence no posts. Still riding, shooting pictures and making notes. Just haven’t gotten around to doing anything with that raw material.

Working on my show. Printing underway. Looked at a test print for one of the 40×60 inch prints. Amazing what technology can do to print from a point and shoot camera file.

As far as aging — I remain open and accepting. And recognize the changes and the need to adapt. I just hope those adaptations remain slow and easy…

It’s a big oak tree I think. That particular field is striking at all times of the year. It’s in a perfect place for photography. The bright sun along with the scorched look to the soil makes it really look out of place for central Pennsylvania.
