In reply to Steve Williams. Ooh, sorry for all the typos! I didn't notice them initially, typing too fast on my phone is guess. Yes, a good advisor is a treasure. We interviewed before making any agreements. If they don't have flexibility in fee plans, that would be a warning sign for me.

My employer forced me to pay myself first. And added some themselves. Over 44 years it has added up. Hindsight being so perfect — I wish I had saved even more…

I have 128gigs of space on my iPhone so those images don’t amount to anything. And I have everything on all my devices backed up to iCloud. But I need to organize better.

Photos add up fast in the digital age.

I’m sort of interviewing advisors right now. Those that manage your money through a brokerage account can really eat up expenses though. Lot’s to think about.

I regularly go through my phone and delete. Usually I take pictures to explain something on Messenger. Most are not keepers.

I am fortunate that one of my commanders while I was a lieutenant took me and my fellow platoon leaders to an investment conference and introduced us to the world of “paying yourself first”. Decades later, with regular contributions, we have a decent nest egg to plan on for retirement in the not too distant future.

I didn’t retire from the Army, so no pension there, that would have been nice but I probably would have never met Martha….so I think I won on that decision.

As to that many pictures on your iPhone…..offload them, Man! Put them in the cloud, and make room for 8000 more!

Money is only good if you circulate it. Mind a good financial person can do
wonders if you’re unhappy discussing your long term survival.
I would have had your Kim too attend as well.

As the dogs, they do like to destroy things, at least in our mind’s eye.

They look cute and and none too guilty in the photo.
