I agree that that topcase really does interfere with the beauty of the GTS. But it’s utility is unquestionable so I resign a bit of beauty for function!

Definitely it´s my favourite part of the day for riding. The light is magic, the traffic is low, almost everyone is sleeping, except the birds in the woods and even some of them in the small citys. It´s like being back to basics, something like a “reborn”.

PS. Steve, looking at your 1st photo, i have to say i miss your GTS photos without the top case mounted. I know it´s difficult to abdicate as you get one (i used to have one on my old GT200) but, at least to my eyes, it interferes a lot with the shape of the GTS : pratical for commuting, a disaster for photographs. 🙂

Does the sun is always trying to rise in the winter where you are!

Everyone should see the sunrise from time to time.

I remember when I used to be up all night and would see it at the end of a shift at the shipyard. Different feel to sunrise in that situation…

I wasn’t always a morning person. I think I really started to appreciate the pre-dawn hours about 15 years ago when Kim and I were in Ogunquit, Maine. I would get up and drag myself and my view camera to the beach to photograph the landscape at sunrise. Then I would wander back to our room and go back to bed. Little by little I would stay up longer until I was “a morning person”. While I still like to laze in bed every now and then it only takes a hint of fog or odd light in the morning to have me out in the world.

Yep. You’re seeing what I see.

In the summer I’m generally up before sunrise. As the days get shorter it’s easier to be up to see the sunrise though winter sunrises are often faint in comparison to summer. Regardless, it’s those knock your socks off scenes that makes it special. I see a lot of them.

Holidays… You can’t argue with any decision when you’re on holiday.
