bob skoot: The two-stroke sound has never grown on me and I have to say I almost find it annoying in a "fingernails on the chalkboard" kind of way.

It may well be I'm mixing that sound with the really annoying all day long leaf blower sounds this time of year.

What happened to rakes???

Bryce Lee: So far the weather continues to be relatively mild with only a few mornings with the temperature below freezing for an hour or so. Snow can't be far off now though and I remember some years we already would have had two or three snow falls.

Piston and Pints is a great event with a lot of good people involved. I just wish I had more time this year to talk to people. Seemed my worklife intruded far too many times...

Schnarpsel: Sorry for the delay in responding -- it has been a hectic week.

The short windscreen does make a difference in the amount of air hitting my chest and how much rain hits me as well. It's not dramatic but just enough for what I was after.

I know a taller one would offer more protection but I want to feel the wind and I don't want to have to look through anything.

Some wonderful pics there..... I really like the red cafe racer also the red Harley is my type of machine and I'm with you on the smells and sounds of two strokes they do take you back ...was that a 350 ypvs with a strange exhaust set up or a more obvious 500 ??

Wonderful Steve, Wonderful. You’re that much further south than I am, less than an hour’s drive north of the west end of Lake Ontario, snow! Yes the retched white stuff. The last weekend of October is the traditional end of riding season in many places;
obviously you had a great time. And no snow or cold in existence…
You should have brought Junior. eh?
