And it's really only half a dozen easy days. Just going to Alaska is relatively easy. It's the Inuvik and Prudhoe parts that are more challenging. But most people don't do those roads....

So when should I expect you?

Of course the Vespa can do Alaska. Take a gander at Dot's adventures: Sydney to London on a moped call Dot.

conchscooter: I think Mike Lynch rode his GT200 to Alaska at least twice. I remember following the first trip --- he had to stop and buy some foam and duct tape it to the seat because his butt hurt so bad. And that was on the way up!

So what is it that has you so riled about the modern Vespa machines. Your service troubles have poisoned your soul. I've heard similar tales of woe about every kind of machine from Hondas to Triumphs.

My Vespa has been flawless. And I am prepared for a loose throttle body.

You need to let this go. Otherwise you'll just end up a twisted, bitter Triumph rider until you go off the deep and and buy a BMW.

RichardM: The Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, and New England is definitely a ride to do. One more thing on my list.

Orin: The Alaska Highway on a Stella would be a great ride. I think any Alaska Highway ride would be great!

Too late to pioneer the vespa thing. There was the dude from Clearwater Florida who rode a 200 GT and a recent road report on ADV rider had the author crossing the path of a woman on a 250 GTS…It can be done but I’d rather eat worms than do it on a modern Vespa. For a man of your pateince a P200E would be excellent.
I’m with richardm and would like to see the maritime provinces this summer and I have a nulla osta from my wife…
