Honestly Steve, I've been experiencing the same thing with the cold when riding. I don't notice it if I'm wearing my coveralls, but in previous years, I've been OK in jeans and a heavy coat.

I'll note though that riding the scoot in the cold makes walking around the woods, in this weather, with a rifle or bow that much more manageable.

Summer has finally arrived here in New Zealand and the Vespa has shed the windscreen and rear box that makes winter riding practical. It’s always a treat to remove these additions, a southern hemisphere Xmas tradition

Mike: that’s just the thing–normally I’m unfazed at those temperatures but lately just can’t get (or stay) warm.

A windscreen wasn’t necessary in the past but who knows what the years have brought.

Wow, riding in 20F weather without a wind screen! I would say you have reason to wince about riding. At that point for me the thrill is gone… as BB King says so well!
