John: I write my posts in Microsoft Word so I have a copy. Then I paste everything into blogger. In word I choose the "Insert" menu and then "Symbol" and choose the degree symbol.

Seventeen below would be rough. I wanted to ride at sero but there was too much snow and ice still blowing around. But I am cool with the commute right now. I wish I could hose the scooter off though. Maybe I'll try a bucket of hot water to rinse some of the salt off.

ewige: I only have to brave 12 degrees this morning. Good luck on your ride!

Roadbum: Thanks for your kind words. I too am looking forward to some more extended rides and adventures. Warmer weather can't come too soon.

Okay, Steve. You brave the 5° commute tomorrow morning, and I will too. The afternoon will feel downright balmy in comparison!
-Mike

I like the proof print, Steve. That gnarly old tree really has some character and visual presence.

I can totally sympathize with the non-ridin' blues. My only rides have been a couple of recent Cold Weather Challenge entries, the last of which was 10.4 miles at -17°F.

But I'm not riding to work in these conditions, no way.

Oh, CSJohn? For the degree symbol, just hold down Alt and push 0-1-7-6 in succession.

Ride well,
=gc=

Steve,
wonderful images. I have always liked the perspective that hobby photographers put on scenery.
As far as blogging goes, how do to make a degree symbol? I'm not seeing anything on my keyboard corresponding to one. Thanks,
John

Paul: I didn't make prints or scans of all the images on the contact sheet so all you can do is click that image and get a big version of the entire sheet. Just wanted to give a qucik look at the range of stuff.

The first image is a proof print and doesn't really reflect the final quality. All of this is part of a project in progress.

Nice series of images, Steve. However, I can't access individual photos. Where was the landscape made with the tree and old building?
