Congrats on the GTS, Steve!
I look forward to reading about what you do with that extra displacement.
I sympathize with your recent plights. Being without a functioning scoot can really rob a person of much more than just a mode of transportation, as you well know.

I’m looking forward to some interesting reading on your impressions of the GTS and how it compares to the LX. I’m still on the fence about which one to buy, so your direct comparison will be valuable. I hope you will devote a blog entry to the GTS/LX comparison. Thanks for your outstanding blog. –Jeff

Michael: I hear you. And I guess I'll make the quiet informal announcement now that I have traded my broken LX150 for a new Vespa GTS. Same fine photographically useful Excalibur Gray color. I'll pick it up tomorrow. We'll see how I do now with something faster....

Bill: Thanks for the support! I have no plans to get out. It just takes me awhile sometimes to find the light switch.

Harv: The old gray will go to someone else. You'll see the new gray appearing soon. I'll be talking to you now that I have this bit of business behind me.

John: I am looking forward to the new Vespa. I'm hoping for the best

Dan: Being without the scooter was more troubling than I would have imagined. The truck is just, well, a truck. Powerful, roomy, quiet, stereo, all the comforts of home. But I just wouldn't be able to muster any energy to write about it other than complain. There will be some new rides to take starting tomorrow though.

Jef: Thank you for your kind words. I hope I can live up to your expectations in the coming weeks and months.

Ok, dude.

I'll agree it's a major bummer to have crippled wheels. However, there's fun in everything. ( almost, that is )
For example, someone wrote that you might have a blog called Pickup in the Sticks.

I say have some fun. Give ol' Gary a jab. Balance his two-wheeled enthusiasm with some "real men drive trucks" stuff. You could call it "Rush Hour Ranger-ing"!
