I live in Hollywood, CA, and urban ride on my '04 Bajaj Chetak. Penn. sounds dreamy though I too have enjoyed cowpie smell in the day. I was surprised after I became a scooterist to see how little transportation I really needed as opposed to what the TV said I needed. I ride the subway most of the time. Good for you. If everybody reduced their consumption we could all breathe a little easier (some pun, eh?). Adios!

Excellent post and photos, Steve.

This idea of simplifying our lives is going to gain traction in the coming years. It's already well underway.

I wonder how the forces of marketing and consumer-driven capitalism are going to try to counter it? Should make for an interesting conflict.

Ride well,
=gc=
