Hey Dan,

It turned out to be less of a crisis than I first imagined. the water went away easy with the Shop-Vac and as with every little water disaster things end up being a bit more organized as I move things around and toss things away.

Service man came and determined that the pressure relief valve was the culprit. After he left and I begen thinking about that I realized that I was the cause. I had been fiddling with the pressure in the system to see if I could get the upstairs radiator to get a little hotter. I must have raised it a little too high and when the boiler heated up it went past the point where the valve blows.

So no expensive fix and the basement in no less for wear....

steve

Sorry, meant to say chunks "than" bail" rather than "chunks that bail". Although if you could train the chunks to bail you would have the best of both worlds!

What a bummer! If you leave the basement windows open the water might freeze. Seems easier to toss out chunks that bail! These things prep us to enjoy the ride more when we actually get to ride. Hang in there!!!

Dan
